Incidentally, that’s how some of my forebears reached Aotearoa New Zealand, and I have long pondered about their journey.

“Well, I’ll tell you how to get that drummer to call you for a gig. Be fun to play with!”
It was an episode on using ‘call and response’ in musical improvisation. Very apt.
It is a slippery path, I know. Funny you share that insight, in another musical context I heard the phrase "be a good hang". There's much wisdom in that.
